Session Fees & Terms

Mudgee Psychology is a private practice and as such fees are payable for services provided, even with a GP referral. 

All session fees must be paid for in full on the day and rebates claimed after this.

  • Clinical Psychologist: $190 per session (Medicare rebate = $128.40)

  • Registered Psychologist: $150 per session (Medicare rebate = $87.45

  • Provisional Psychologist: $120 per session (no Medicare rebates available)

  • Social Worker / Counsellor: $120 per session (no Medicare rebates available)

Please note we do not bulk bill.   


CANCELLATION POLICY – 24 hours notice is required or a $50 cancellation fee will be payable prior to or at your next session

Medicare rebates are available to cover part of the session fee only if your GP refers under a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) and makes a referral. A MHCP allows 10 sessions to be rebated (though you need a GP review after your first 6 sessions to continue claiming the rebate for the other 4 sessions).


Private health funds may provide full/partial rebates for psychological services, please check with your fund.

Funded Programs / Services

Veterans - Open Arms

Many of our psychologists are registered with Open Arms and are able to provide veterans and their families with treatment and support funded by Open Arms. Call us to find out more or contact VVCS directly on 1800 011 046.


If you have an NDIS package that allows for psychological therapy or support we can arrange a treatment program. Contact us to discuss your package and options for therapy and support. 

WorkCover NSW

If you are currently requiring psychological treatment under a workers compensation claim, and you have a GP referral and insurer approval, we will be able to offer treatment sessions for you.

Employee Assistance Programs (EAP)

If your employer has an EAP program you will be entitled to a set number of sessions (usually 3-5) that is funded by your employer. This is an entirely confidential process, you need to speak with your organisation about whether or not they offer such a program.
