Psychological Assessment as part of treatment
An initial session with Mudgee Psychology will involve an assessment that will allow the psychologist to understand the client’s presenting issues and symptoms, and formulate an appropriate treatment plan.
Ongoing assessment and review of progress is considered psychological best practice, and in this regard assessment typically continues over the first few sessions in conjunction with beginning treatment and therapy.
Formal Psychological Assessment and Reporting
At times a formal assessment is required for clinical diagnostic purposes or to assess cognitive and/or adaptive functioning. Mudgee Psychology is able to offer formal assessments (and report writing) in the following areas:
- Cognitive / IQ assessments (which may include assessment of memory)
